About The Boutique Caterer Toronto

I wouldn't for a moment feed you a tale about how I aspired to culinary greatness as a child and I wouldn't pretend that I had an epiphany when I received my first Easy Bake Oven. If truth be told, I ate the dry chocolate cake mix straight from the packet and, as an adult, when it came to cooking and baking, the very notion terrified me. As a busy, young business woman, I limited my kitchen forays to the outside of the fridge where the take-out restaurant magnets were located.

But, when the climb up the corporate ladder lost its luster, I decided that I should find a happier and more fulfilling pursuit. The Boutique Caterer is the culmination of that search. It started small, with Christmas baking for friends and family who proved to be happy recipients of my sweet experiments! And, it grew from there: the more I cooked and baked, the more they asked me to do. Some hors d'oeuvres, some desserts, a luncheon, a small dinner party... and before I knew it, I had a list of loyal clients. This new-found love of the kitchen led me to George Brown College and the Culinary Arts program followed by the Baking and Pastry Arts program.

With the fast-paced world in which we live, many people are too busy, too rushed, to create menus, prepare food and bake desserts for their family and friends. But, they still appreciate and want fresh, delicious food, made with the utmost attention to detail. That is what we provide at The Boutique Caterer. I don't open packages and assemble foods, I create each item individually from scratch, with your needs in mind.

I take pride in the fact that all of my products are created and baked from scratch using the freshest and most delicious ingredients. From fresh creamery butter in my cakes, and homemade rosemary flatbread for delicious dips and spreads, to mango chutney – I make products in small batches, just like you would if you had time to do it yourself.

I take pride in my belief that my summer preserves are the best, because each year I drag my dad with me out into the fields north of Toronto to pick strawberries and raspberries for delicious jams. And yes, believe it or not, I do strain those raspberries by hand because who can stand those annoying little seeds?

I am as loyal to my customers as they are to me, and I am proud that the business has grown simply and continually through word-of-mouth. When planning your next event, allow me to work with you to create the perfect menu, and discover why our clients return again and again.
